I found both of your posts extremely interesting, but unrealistically pessimist. You should base your views about Romania on solid informations, not on talks with local friends.

These are some impressions I have from my vacation over there three weeks ago. They were not meant to treat the subject “Romania” exhaustively, I basically took some things, applied some things that I know to them and I came up with this. If it’s off the mark, too bad, I guess I can blame it on the poverty of input.
I am just curious, do you base your views on Romania on solid info? If so, where do you get this solid info from?

If I had to express my views on Romania I’d look into the international and local business newspapers/sites, some serious statistics etc. and then compare what these things say with my own experiences (…or talks with friends) - I wouldn’t start by assuming that what I’ve experienced (or heard) is universally valid in that country.
