Hi, I am Cristian Herling, I am an IT professional living in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

I am interested in what happens in the IT space however, I stay away from the zealotry (REST vs WS-*, Ruby vs Java, Java vs .Net, etc…) that pervades this space. I pay more attention to the economics of this space and I regard IT as a set of competing capabilities rather than as an abstract construction of languages, libraries, etc…
I am more interested in how IT is being put to work efficiently rather than what’s the world’s latest buzzword.

I have been working mostly in small teams 4-10 people in enterprise computing in small as well as very large organizations, and this series of postings covers a lot of things I have encountered in this environment.
